Dr. Goodluck Nshi founded EveryLife Behavioral Health on 16 years of frontline nursing experience and a doctorate-level command of psychiatric care. As a board-certified PMHNP, he conducts comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, mental status exams, and risk assessments across the full lifespan — from adolescents to older adults — diagnosing using DSM-5-TR criteria and prescribing with a sharp eye for interactions, side effects, and what actually works for real life.

What is a PMHNP, and how is it different from a psychiatrist?
A Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is a board-certified, licensed provider trained to evaluate, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions, including prescribing medication. PMHNPs and psychiatrists both provide medication management; many patients find PMHNPs offer more visit time and a collaborative, whole-person approach.
